The basic arrangement or layout of the selling floor in the store is of utmost importance, because it affects all other design decisions. Layouts maybe categorized into 3 types:
- Grid layout
- Free flow
- Loop or boutique layout
Grid Layout
In grid layout, the store is arranged into straight aisles, perpendicular shelves, and equal product spacing.
FREE FLOW LAYOUT
In free flow layout, there are no defined aisles and there is flexible product placement
BOUTIQUE LAYOUT
BOUTIQUE LAYOUT
Boutique layout consists of specialized spaces within the store.
